The Glenwood Public Library Summer Reading Program hosted a visit from the CLIMB Theatre, Thursday afternoon, June 27 in the Central Square Auditorium.  The mission of CLIMB Theatre, which is based out of Inver Grover Heights, is “to inspire and propel young people towards acts that benefit themselves, each other and their community.”

The CLIMB Theatre came with two actors who put on a production of “Country Mouse & City Mouse.”  Among the other Summer Reading Program events coming up are a visit to the Library from national Yo-Yo master Dazzling Dave at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 9; the Brodini Comedy Magic Show at 1 p.m., Tuesday, July 16; and the Mobile Sign Shop from 2-5 p.m., Friday, July 19, which is a first-come, first-serve event.

The Summer Reading Program, which takes place from June 10-July 31, is a great chance for the kids to get ahead in school, enjoy some time reading and learn more about the world around them.  The children earn prizes for reading books and the Library hosts fun games and events to keep them active all summer.
