“This is amazing.  We will be back!” Clients said on the way out the door of the new nail spa in the heart of downtown Glenwood on Friday morning.

Over the past month, the owners and staff of Glenwood Nails Spa TL have been working steadily to transform what used to be part of the boutique at Shear indulgence into a luxurious environment for the people of the lakes area to enjoy a variety of services seven days a week.  

They offer hand-painted nail art along with a full list of pedicure and manicure options. 

The new business was invited to open by Katie and Mike Marcus, the owners of Shear Indulgence.  The nail spa is operated by a growing team of experienced technicians.  

At the front of the house is T and his wife Linh Letrinhtran who are both owners and nail technicians.  

“We had visited from the cities and thought what a beautiful place this would be to live.  We want to say thank you to Mike and Katie for working with us.” He said that thanks to the Marcus’s efforts Glenwood Nails Spa TL has become a reality and their dream to live in the community as well.   

 The owners and staff said it is their priority to provide the highest level of care to their clientele.  They are proud to offer a relaxing environment with a variety of choices and add-ons with upfront pricing.  

Upon entering the space, clients are greeted, offered a beverage and presented with a large display of polish colors to choose from. T said, “We have somewhere between 700 and 800 colors.”

T said they spared no expense to make clients comfortable while they are getting a treatment.  The 2024 spa chairs that line the wall have massage settings for back, shoulders and legs. Each of the mani-pedi kits are one-time use and include a file and pumice stone. 

Clients are able to smell the natural scents of oils and lotions, thanks to the spa investing in organic, vegan products without the acetate.  At Glenwood Nails Spa TL, they want to be sure clients can enjoy the environment and pleasant scents can play a big role.  

Though the space is quite large at 3000 sq. ft. with high ceilings, they have worked to make it a clean, cozy space where people can converse or enjoy the background jazz music.

“We make sure you get what you pay for,” said T. One way they accomplish this is by using a timer during services, so everyone gets 20-minute cuticle care and a massage as part of the routine.  For an extra few dollars they will embellish your nails with small hand-painted images, like flowers. 

Their combined experience of 35+ years is evident as the team works well together to make it an efficient and relaxed environment.  So while this is a new place, the team is a not.  They plan to be here for the long haul and to expand the spa. 

The best way to get the experience is to make an appointment on Facebook messenger or call 320-334-3333.  Glenwood Nails Spa TL welcomes walk-in appointments, but to make sure you don’t have to wait, booking is encouraged.  

Local patron, Carrie Velde, said she was able to get a same-day appointment to get her nails done with her daughter for a longstanding birthday tradition and was happy to have a spa locally.  It is located at 12 Minnesota Ave. East in Glenwood.  Business hours are 9 am- 7 pm weekdays, 9 am-4 pm Saturdays and 10 am-4 pm Sundays.
