Tickets now available for the Percy Jackson Muscial running July 24-27 

Rehearsals are underway for Minnewaska Showstoppers’ Waterama production of The Lightning Thief – The Percy Jackson Musical.

 Show dates are Wednesday through Friday July 24-26 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, July 27 at 5 p.m. at the Minnewaska Area High School Auditorium.

 Tickets are available at

minnewaskashowstoppers.org, in person at the Pope County Museum, or at the door before performances. $15 adults, $13 seniors, and $11 Students (K-12).

 “The Lightning Thief: The Percy Jackson Musical” is based on the popular young adult novel by Rick Riordan. The story follows Percy Jackson (Sophie Grandy), a teenager who discovers he is a demigod, the son of Poseidon, and embarks on a thrilling quest to prevent a war among the gods. Alongside his friends Annabeth Chase (Jennie Odello) and Grover Underwood (Ethan Eliason), Percy must retrieve Zeus’s stolen lightning bolt to prevent catastrophe. As Percy navigates the challenges of being a half-blood and the obstacles of the mythological world, he learns valuable lessons about friendship, courage, and the power within himself. Filled with humor, adventure, and memorable songs, this musical adaptation brings the beloved characters and gripping story of Percy Jackson to the stage, captivating audiences of all ages.

The cast includes area adults and students from Minnewaska Area, Morris Area, Hancock, Alexandria, and St. John’s Prep High Schools.
