Starbuck Police provides information on July 6 Starbuck Locker fire

On Saturday, July 6, 2024, at approximately 12:45 p.m., the Starbuck and Glenwood Fire Departments, and the Starbuck Police Department responded to a structure fire located at the Starbuck Locker, 117 East 5th Street in Starbuck.
Upon arrival there was heavy smoke and visible flames observed coming out of the roof of the locker. Due to the size of the fire, the following agencies were called to assist with extinguishing the fire: Lowry, Villard, Cyrus and Hancock Fire Departments. Additional agencies that responded to assist with the fire were the Pope County Sheriff’s Office, Glenwood Police Department and the Glacial Ridge Ambulance. Fortunately, there were no injuries reported, and the Starbuck Locker was closed at the time of the fire. The fire is still under investigation by the Minnesota State Fire Marshall’s Office.
