The Minnewaska Area Trap team had a great season in 2024, finishing 24th at the State Shoot at Prior Lake and also having three individuals place among the top 20 at the State Shoot.

At the State Shoot, the Lakers had a five-person team score of 461 out of 500 targets to place 24th.  Prior Lake earned first with a 480 total (99, 96, 96, 95 and 94).  There were three perfect 100s during the team tournament.

Minnewaska Area had individual scores of 97, 96, 92, 90 and 86 during the team portion of the State Shoot.  The Lakers finished only 19 targets away from first place.

In the individual State Shoot, Levi Schultz and Mason Reichmann both had 98×100 to tie for 11th place out of 90 shooters while Dylan VanZee tied for 19th with a score of 97×100.

During the individual State Shoot, there were two 100s and six others who had 99×100.

•  The trap team recently announced its season-ending awards.  The Minnewaska Area trap team awardwinners are pictured on page 4B.

•  First-time letterwinners for this year’s Minnewaska Area trap team, coached by Jennie Stone, are Matthew Longtin, Hunter Kalb, Kendra Schultz, Brody Hoffert, Riley Weisel and Onyx Johnson.

Repeat letterwinners were August Reichmann, John Jenson, Ethan Curry, Mason Reichmann, Cole Kittelson, Carson Meyer, Jonathan Hagen, Dylan VanZee, Isaac Hennen, Tabbi Durand and Makayla Hagen.
