Work began last Tuesday on a reconstruction project on County Road 17 from at Pezhekee Road to the southwest of the Canal Cove area. The work is being done by Joe Riley Construction of Morris, the low bidder on the project.  The road will be resurfaced during the project, which is estimated to be completed in 35 working days.  Work started at the Pezhekee Road.  Above, a worker removes the surface of the road near Peters Sunset Resort along Lake Minnewaska.
