Minnewaska Laker Homecoming 2024 is set for this week and includes a parade in Glenwood.

The 2024 Laker Homecoming Celebration’s culmination will be a parade in Glenwood on Friday starting at 4 p.m. and traveling from Barsness Park west on 8th Ave. SE to 2nd Street SE and the on 4th Ave. SE ending near the Minnewaska Area Elementary School. (See accompanying map.)

Laker students and staff formally invited and encouraged all community businesses and organizations to be part of the parade.  

After the parade, continue the celebration by tailgating on the plaza in preparation for the homecoming football game vs. the Howard Lake-Waverly Lakers beginning at 5 p.m. 

Games, contests, and food will be the highlights for tailgating, so bring your family and friends dressed in Laker colors to show support. The kickoff for the football game is at 7 p.m.
