DyCast Specialties was recently recognized by the Minnesota Department of Employment and Economic Development (DEED) for its contributions and commitment to improving the workforce.

Because of a slowdown in sales, DyCast opted for a work-share program instead of layoffs. Employees are guaranteed 24 hours of work each week, allowing them to remain eligible for unemployment benefits. “It’s a win-win situation,” said Bolas. “No one is laid off, employees keep their benefits, and everyone continues working.”

As an employee-owned company, DyCast takes pride in the commitment and dedication of its workforce. In an industry with high turnover, the average DyCast employee has been with the company for 11 years.

In 2020, DyCast became an employee-owned company, further solidifying its commitment to the workforce and its future.
