Third grade students at Minnewaska Area Elementary School recently enjoyed making and eating fresh salsa using ingredients from the school garden. For some students, it was their first time trying salsa. Overall, it was favored by many! This applied learning experience connects to the school’s math and science curriculum – and was a positive life experience for all students. A special shout out to the Elementary School kitchen staff for supporting this experience and Ms. Cookie for the extra tomatoes!
