Special Recognitions & Honors:
The Minnewaska School Board would like to take a moment to recognize the exceptional efforts of our middle school intervention staff, Kasey Douvier and Stephanie Thoen. Their dedication to organizing benchmark data collection, conducting Data Dig meetings with each grade level, and creating a timely intervention schedule has provided essential support to our at-risk students. Their efforts have had a meaningful impact on student success, and we are grateful for their hard work and commitment.
Additionally, we would like to extend our thanks to the following mentors: Jason Weber, Heidi Polzin, Lisa Bonk, Megan Modahl, Jana McIver, Nick Gugisberg, Steph Swalla, Alicia Christman, Amanda Averback, and Amber Braaten. These individuals have played a vital role in supporting our new staff, ensuring they feel encouraged and appreciated. Through effective self-reflection, coaching, and a focus on evidence of student learning, our mentors have challenged our new teachers to continually improve their practice. By helping mitigate stress and anxiety, they have provided essential resources and support systems, fostering an environment where our educators can thrive. We believe nurturing teachers is integral to their development as distinguished educators, and we deeply appreciate the contributions of our dedicated mentors.
