The Canadian Pacific Kansas City Holiday Train made its merry arrival in town last Sunday, bringing along festive performances by Alana Springsteen and Seaforth. This beloved train journeys across the country, spreading holiday cheer while supporting local food banks and food shelves. Through its efforts, it raises money, collects food, and raises awareness about food insecurity in our communities.
In a heartwarming moment, the Hearts and Hands Food Shelf received a generous check for $4,500 from CPKC, helping to brighten the season for those in need. The event was a wonderful celebration, with many community members coming together to show their support and spread the holiday spirit.
Since its first journey in 1999, the CPKC Holiday Train has raised an incredible $24.3 million and collected about 5.3 million pounds of food for food banks across both Canada and the U.S. What a remarkable way to give back and make the season brighter for everyone!
