Glenwood’s Magical Christmas kicked off last Thursday with the Annual Tree Lighting ceremony and the Lighted Parade. The free community supper was held at the Glenwood Lutheran Church Social Hall, along with lighted horse and wagon rides by Erickson’s Petting Zoo. Popcorn and hot chocolate were served up at Pocket Park courtesy of American Solutions for Business.

The Lighted Holiday Parade featured several floats from area businesses along with Santa Claus spreading holiday cheer. The first place Holiday Spirit Award went to Kalina Snow and Dirt (pictured below) with its dazzling lights, festive Christmas trees, and overflowing holiday spirit! Congratulations!

Magical Christmas in Glenwood continues Thursday, Dec. 12th with an Open House & Family Night at the Glenwood Welcome Center. Visit with Santa, join Jolly McJingles for a Christmas activity, decorate Christmas cookies, enter the coloring contest and enjoy refreshments.
