Minnewaska Area High School presented its annual Christmas Choir Concert this past weekend with three separate performances on Saturday and Sunday in the high school auditorium under the direction of Jeff Iverson.

Included in the concert, entitled Christmas Memories, were selections by the Concert Choir, Varsity Choir, 7th and 8th grade choirs, Jazz I, Jazz II and men’s jazz choir as well as the “Hallelujah Chorus” sung by the Concert Choir and alumni (top picture).

The concert also included a number of soloists and percussionists, along with visits from shepherds, Elvis and Santa, and Christmas memories shared by the students.

Helping out Iverson as the accompanist was Diane Moeller and acting as the Narrator was Katy Leppa.  Almost 400 Minnewaska Area students were involved in the concert, which included popular Christmas tunes from the past and present as well as other holiday songs.
