REGULATING CANNABIS BUSINESSES AND EVENTS IN POPE COUNTY
AND AN AMENDMENT TO THE POPE COUNTY LAND USE CONTROLS ORDINANCE (LUCO)
POPE COUNTY, MINNESOTA
NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN that, on December 3, 2024, Ordinance No. 202405, Regulating Cannabis Businesses and Events in Pope County, and an Amendment to the Pope County Land Use Controls Ordinance (LUCO), were adopted by the Pope County Board of Commissioners.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 331A.01 and 375.51, a summary of Ordinance No. 202405 is provided as follows:
Ordinance No. 202405 specifically provides for the regulation of cannabis businesses and events in Pope County the manner local governments are allowed by Minnesota Statutes. Ordinance No. 202405 establishes and defines registration processes for cannabis businesses and sets certain requirements and limitations for operation of cannabis businesses and events.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that, pursuant to Minn. Stat. §§ 331A.01 and 375.51, a summary of the Amendment to the Pope County Land Use Controls Ordinance (LUCO) is provided as follows:
The LUCO Amendment provides land use regulations applicable to cannabis businesses and events, defines where such businesses or events are permitted or prohibited, and establishes what permits and standards apply to those land uses where permitted.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that copies of these ordinances are available for public inspection on the County’s public website at www.popecountymn.gov, in the office of the Pope County Administrator and Land and Resource Management Office during normal business hours, or upon request by calling 320-634-7704.
