Rehearsals are underway for Minnewaska Showstopper’s Annual winter dinner theater production. This year’s play is Drinking Habits by Tom Smith. This hilarious comedy will be performed at the Lakeside Ballroom on Friday, January 31, and Saturday, February 1. Doors open at 5 p.m., dinner is served at 6 p.m., and the show starts at 7 p.m.

Drinking Habits follows the antics of the Sisters of Perpetual Sewing, who secretly make wine to save their convent from closing. Add in two undercover reporters disguised as a priest and a nun, and the result is a night of mistaken identities, secrets, and plenty of laughs.

The play is directed by Mandy Recker and the cast includes Suzanne Vold, Abby Solvie, Curt Bredeson, Martha Fletcher, Mark Halvorson, Ann Grandy, Ted Halvorson and Mavis Pattee.

Tickets are $45 per person, which includes a delicious meal of Gouda and bacon chicken breast, salad, two sides and dessert. Tickets are available now at the Pope County Museum or online at www.minnewaskashowstoppers.org. Seating is limited, so be sure to get tickets early!
