Almost 30 brave souls (pictured above) took the Polar Plunge during a Waterama fundraiser on Lake Minnewaska near the Lakeside Ballroom, Saturday afternoon.  It was a sunny, cold and windy day for the “plungers,” who had a lot of fun while raising money for a great cause.

Some of the jumpers had crazy outfits and did some impressive things while taking the plunge into the icy Lake Minnewaska waters, including a fake layup by coach Zach Traphagen (bottom right).  The “plungers” included area royalty, Waterama brass, MAHS students, coaches and administrators and more.  All-in-all, it was fun event for everyone.  Thank goodness, though, for the heated fishhouses.
