The Glenwood Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Glenwood Lakes Area Welcome Center teamed up to sponsor the Pope County Community Expo, Saturday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. at Minnewaska Area High School.  There was a great turnout for the event, which included plenty of valuable information, free gifts, prizes and a lot of fun.  Visitors could have coffee with a cop in the cafeteria before taking part in a number of live presentations and exhibits.  After that, visitors could stroll through the auditorium where businesses had great deals, free gifts and a chance to win additional prizes.

It was also a great place for kids, who could have some fun bouncing on inflatables, play with kittens and baby chicks from the Humane Society, get a free tattoo, take part in a free dance class, snack on some great food or just grab a free bag and fill it with free gifts and samples from local vendors, businesses and organizations.
