Full Programming to Resume in 2026

After careful evaluation, Central Square recently announced the “difficult decision” to cancel the 2025 Concert Series due to the renovation schedule at the Glenwood building.

In 2024, Central Square planned a modified 2025 concert season, with performances scheduled for November and December. However, shifting construction schedules and unforeseen delays have made it increasingly clear that moving forward is neither practical nor in the best interest of performers, staff, or audience.

“We have held off on finalizing talent bookings while awaiting clarity, but with the timeline still in flux, the level of uncertainty is too great. While we’re disappointed not to bring performances to the stage this year, we are looking ahead with optimism and will return with a full concert season in 2026,” said Jes Baggett, Program Manager at Central Square.

Postponing the series to 2026 allows them to prioritize the renovation needs which are substantial. “Ultimately, our goals of being able to hold scheduled programming and navigate the logistical challenges of the renovation proved to be unsustainable. Postponing this flagship programming will allow us to focus on what needs to be done to ensure that Central Square emerges stronger, more sustainable, and fully prepared for its next chapter”, said Marie Chan, Executive Director of Central Square.

“To say we are grateful for those who have supported the series through Blind Faith Pass purchases, program ads, or sponsorships, is an understatement,” Chan said. “The trust and patience of our community throughout this process has not gone unnoticed, and we are committed to making sure they are presented with options that meet their needs. Ultimately, our is in service of our community—both through our programming and our stewardship of this building. While the renovation of key spaces in the building has required more time and attention than we anticipated, we feel privileged and honored to guide it through this phase,” Chan added.

The options Central Square presented to ticket/pass holders, and sponsors and advertisers were to either defer their tickets and passes, ads, or sponsorship to the 2026 season or request a full refund.

The Central Square staff made direct efforts to contact all 2025 Annual Concert Series supporters to inform them of this update and discuss their preferred options. If you have not yet heard from them, they request that you please reach out to their office at (320) 634-0400 or email info@centralsquare.org and they will assist you.
