Editor’s Note:  The following poem was submitted to the Tribune & Times by second grader, Jessa Deutsch.  Her parents said she saw a story written by Esther about birds in her back yard and wanted to write and submit a poem about spring for the paper.  She also drew a picture to go with her poem.  Jessa is 7 years old.

TREES ARE READY

FOR SPRING

By Jessa Deutsch

Trees, trees, are ready for spring.

Trees, trees, call out to the wind.

Trees, trees, grow new leaves,

And wave to the birdy, bird, birds.

Trees, trees, are ready for spring!
