The VFW Auxiliary to Starbuck Post 4582 held their meeting on Monday, April 11, 2022, at 2 p.m. with President Deb Kuusisto presiding. The Chaplain offered the opening prayer and the pledge to the flag was given. The roll call of officers found 12 present and 2 absent with 13 total members present. The secretary’s report was read and approved. The treasurer’s report was read and filed subject to audit.
Information noted: The next Auxiliary Meeting will be held on May 9, 2022, at 2 p.m. Thank you notes from the family of Hilma Larson, the family of Robert Kuusisto, the Minnewaska Lutheran Home and Glacial Trails Memory Care, and the Armed Forces Service Center were read. There will be Bar Bingo on Friday, April 29.

New business: Karen Tharaldson moved to pay the bills. Robin Cole seconded the motion and the motion carried. Ruby Aaberg moved to donate $25 to the Minnewaska Lutheran Home to be used for Memorial Day activities. Donna Frank seconded the motion and the motion carried. Karen Tharaldson moved to accept the roster of delegates and alternates to the Department Convention as listed. Carol Holten seconded the motion and the motion carried. Vicki Aaberg moved to accept the roster of delegates and alternates to the National Convention. Ruby Aaberg seconded the motion and the motion carried. Karen Tharaldson presented the audit report for Jan. 1 – March 31. She moved to accept the audit as read and Robin Cole seconded the motion and the motion carried. Ruby Aaberg moved to increase the dime drawing amount to $0.25. Carol Holten seconded the motion and the motion passed. Nomination of officers for the 2022-2023 year were made. The election was held and the new slate of officers will be installed at the May 9 meeting. They will begin their duties on July 1, 2022.
Deb Kuusisto’s name was drawn for the dime drawing and Carol Engh’s name was drawn for the door prize of $5.
