Kylee Berger, a Forester for the Minnesota Department of Natural Resources, will be in Glenwood on May 3 to assist in management of buckthorn and other invasive species in Barsness Park.  

She will meet with anyone interested at 12:30 p.m. in the lower group meeting room at Pizza Ranch in Glenwood. Her presentation will include:

•Providing education on buckthorn management including restoring native plants and wildlife habitat.

•Sharing her thoughts in regards to work completed in Barsness Park and best management practices for future work.

•Sharing information on cost sharing grants available to private property owners for buckthorn management. (Property owners near or adjacent to Barsness Park are encouraged to attend).

•Be available to answer questions.
