Six MAHS students heading to National BPA

Six Minnewaska Area High School Business Professionals of America participants are heading to the National BPA Conference in Dallas, Texas from May 4-8. Molly Hjelm placed first in Presentation Management – Individual Competition, Hailey Spiering placed first in Administrative Research Support – Individual Competition, Marissa Kjorness took fourth place in Economic Research Project – Individual Competition and Noah Palmer was in fifth place in the Computer Network Technology competition. There were also three students selected for the TORCH program. Dakota Holder, Alec Larson and Marissa Kjorness reached the Ambassador Level which is the highest honor in the program. These students have to display proficiency in seven categories. Many of the BPA participants placed in the top ten at the state level. The MAHS chapter of BPA is able to brag that 100 percent of the students that competed at the regional level advanced to state.
