Water from Lake Minnewaska was running over the dam at Starbuck with a level about 15 inches above the dam last Thursday, before another thunderstorm  brought more  heavy rain and strong winds to the area.  Just two weeks ago, the water was measured to be about 6-8 inches over the dam.  The area received about 4.5 inches of rain on Wednesday and Thursday last week, so the lake level will likely continue to rise as the watershed empties into the lake.  The DNR docks on the Glenwood side of the lake were submerged after Thursday’s storm and the docks at the landing on Pelican Lake were also underwater as was much of the landing there.  The water levels continued to rise over the weekend.
