The Glenwood Lowry Legion team kept up its winning ways defeating Wheaton away  last Monday and then winning both games of a double header against Parkers Prairie on Thursday at Marthaler Field.

June 20 at Wheaton

Wheaton 5

Glenwood Lowry Legion team stole the lead late and defeated Wheaton 10-5.  The game was tied 5-5 in the top of the sixth when Torii Johnson singled on a 1-0 count to score three runs.

It was a comeback win with Glenwood Lowry getting the victory despite giving up four urns in the second inning.  The local team knotted the game up at five in the top of the firth, scoring two runs when Dylan Alexander homered.

Jason Blair started for the Glenwood Lowry team and allowed two hits and five runs over two innings.  He struck out five.

Blair and Alexander both hit home runs for the Glenwood Lowry team.

Torii Johnson, Hunter Johnson and Jack Majerus all had multiple hits for Glenwood-Lowry .  Torii Johnson went three for five with one RBI.

June 23 at Marthaler Field

Glenwood-Lowry 6  

Parkers Prairie 1  (Game 1)

The Glenwood-Lowry Legion team  defeated Parkers Prairie on the home field using a running game that tallied six stolen bases.

Torii Johnson was the winning pitcher for Glenwood-Lowry, tossing seven innings and allowing just one run on five hits.  He struck out three and didn’t give up a walk.

Glenwood-Lowry racked up seven hits. Dylan Alexander, Torii Johnson and Jack Larson each had multiple hits.  Larson, Alexander and Torii Johnson each had two hits and T. Johnson had two stolen bases in the game. 

June 23 at Marthaler Field

Parkers Prairie 0 (Game 2)

The Glenwood Lowry Legion team took the second in a doubleheader shutting out the Panthers with two pitchers.  Blake Andreas induced a ground-out out of the bullpen to finish off the game.

Jacob Blair went six innings on the mound for Glenwood-Lowry, striking out 9 and allowing just three hits and no runs.  Andreas threw one inning in relief to preserve the shutout.

Glenwood-Lowry scored five runs in the seventh inning, when Cole Baker, Jacob Blair, and Ryland Martin each had RBIs in the game.

Glenwood Lowry had 12 hits for the day.  Dylan Alexander collected 4 hits to lead the team.  He had a single in the first, one in the second, doubled in the fourth and singled again in the sixth.  Alexander, Martin and Baker all had multiple hits.  

June 25

Glenwood-Lowry 4

Sauk Centre 2

Glenwood-Lowry then went on to keep their undefeated status in tact by beating Sauk Center on Saturday. 

Sauk scored two in the first inning on an error.  

But the local team took the lead late in the game.  The game was tied at two in the bottom of the fifth when PJ Johnson drew a walk and came around to score.

PJ Johnson was also recorded the win, surrendering just two runs  on hone hit over seven innings.  He struck out 10 Sauk Centre batters.

Torii Johnson, Nathan Dell, Jack Larson and PJ Johnson all had one hit to lead the Glenwood Lowry offense.
