NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT WORKSHEET (EAW) AVAILABILITY: 

Glenwood Gravel Pit Expansion Project

Pope County, Minnesota

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN:  

Hancock Concrete Products, LLC is proposing to expand the existing Glenwood Gravel Pit in Glenwood Township, Pope County, located north of State Highway 28, and east of the City of Glenwood. The expansion area will include approximately 40 acres adjacent to an existing mining operation; hence a mandatory EAW is required under Minnesota Rules 4410.4300, Subpart 12, Item B. The Facility extracts, stores, and distributes crushed stone for use in concrete operations at other facilities. Operation activities include aggregate extraction, washing and staging of gravel, crushing and recycling of concrete, and a series of ponds.

The EAW will be available for public comment starting Tuesday, July 5, 2022. The County will accept written comments (via mail or email) on the EAW during the public review and comment period, which concludes Thursday, August 4, 2022 at 4:30 p.m.
