Minnewaska Golf Club was in beautiful condition last week as the local course hosted a two-day PGA Professionals Championship that brought in top golfers from all over the state.  The event attracted more than 100 golfers to play the challenging 18-hole course that sits on the west edge  of Glenwood in Long Beach.

Jonathan Reigstad of Keller Golf Course in Maplewood was the winner, finishing 7-under par,  while Scott McDonald, playing from the host Minnewaska Golf Course, took second at 6-under par. Reigstad won $6,000 while McDonald won $4,000.

Several entrants had local ties. McDonald once was the top pro at Minnewaska and Barrett Boe also held that job before moving on. He is now at Bluff Creek. Bob Miller of the Minnewaska staff also played.
