Duck hunters are out

The Pope County Fair comes next week – Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. The weather man has agreed to give the fair management three perfect days. A large number of exhibits are expected.
You will find the businessmen of Glenwood at the Fair Grounds from 1:30 to 4:30 on Tuesday and Wednesday, September 26 and 27. All businesses will be closed during those hours.

At a meeting of the Red Cross exhibit committee Monday afternoon, an interesting exhibit was mapped out for the Pope County Fair. There will be exhibits showing the different activities of Red Cross service.

Judging from the numerous loud reports heard from break of dawn until dark, there must be a generous number of hunters in action. We wonder if there will be enough ducks to go around.
