Sauk Centre won 10 of the 11 individual titles during a 118-67 victory over the Minnewaska Area-Morris Area Gators in a meet at Sauk Centre last Tuesday night.
Clare Barnstuble earned the lone first for the Gators in the diving portion of the meet with a score of 182.75. The Gators also placed third and fourth in the diving event.
“There were a lot of great races, but Sauk Centre is another tough team with some great swimmers,” coach Sam Oellien said. “We did pick up a first by Clare Barnstuble in the diving competition and the 400 freestyle relay team of Becca Femrite, Melena Longtin, Serena Mellgren and McKenzie Luetmer placed second with a good time.”
The Gators, who were also set to compete at West Fargo, Sept. 17, before canceling out due to a conflict with the team, fell to 2-3 overall in dual meets.
The Gators do not have any meets this week as they prepare for a home meet with Holdingford, Tuesday, Oct. 4 and another with Perham-Dent, Thursday, Oct. 6 at Minnewaska Area, which is also Senior Night.
