The Someplace Safe Walk Against Domestic Violence crowded Minnesota Avenue in Glenwood last week to show support for victims of domestic violence. Several area supporters of the movement carried signs that said things like “Stop the silence, end domestic violence” and “Hands are not for hitting.” The walk ended at the Glenwood Chamber of Commerce and Welcome Center. Minnesota’s statewide Clothesline Project was on display. The project is a display of t-shirts on a clothesline all designed to represent a victim of domestic violence in Minnesota. Each year the display changes. A short program and a light lunch were also held.
