MINNEWASKA AREA SCHOOL DISTRICT #2149 GLENWOOD, MINNESOTA THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 17, 2022 SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education met in special session on Thursday, November 17, 2022 in the Minnewaska Area High School Board Room. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. by Chairperson Barsness. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Members Present: Barsness, Zavadil, Holtberg, A. Reichmann, Lagred
Members Absent: T. Reichmann,
Motion by Zavadil, seconded by Lagred to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, Zavadil, Holtberg, A. Reichmann, Lagred
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Holtberg, seconded by A. Reichmann to approve the Abstract of Votes Cast for ISD 2149, State of Minnesota at the State General Election held Tuesday, November 8, 2022 as compiled from the Official Returns.
Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, Zavadil, Holtberg, A. Reichmann, Lagred
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Holtberg, seconded by Reichmann to approve the Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes for School District General Election declaring Candidates Ted Reichmann receiving 2761 votes, Amanda Ogdahl receiving 2331 votes, and Zachery Lagred receiving 1971 votes, having received the highest number of votes, elected to four-year terms beginning January 1, 2023.

Motion by Lagred, seconded by A. Reichmann to approve the Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes for School District Special Election declaring Candidate Justin Zavadil receiving 2977 votes having received the highest number of votes, elected to a two-year term beginning January 1, 2023
Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, Zavadil, Holtberg, A. Reichmann, Lagred
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Holtberg, seconded by Lagred, to the resolution authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Clerk to Perform other Election-Related duties.

Motion by Zavadil, seconded by Barsness to adjourn the special meeting at 7:36 a.m.
