Glenwood’s annual winter celebration, Winterama, will take place on Saturday, Feb. 11 on the ice and on the shores of Lake Minnewaska. Events take place at Lakeside Ballroom, Captain’s Bar & Grill, on Lake Minnewaska, and throughout the city of Glenwood, it was announced last week.

The event, organized each year by Glenwood & Beyond volunteers as a fundraiser for its activities, will resume with many of the popular activities that have become associated with Winterama. Back for the one-day event are the Shop Hop (specials by local retailers), the “Polar Plunge,” the Chili Cookoff and fireworks over Lake Minnewaska.

Many of the activities for Winterama will take place on the lake or at Lakeside Ballroom and Captains Bar & Grill will be the location for the fireworks, which will begin at 7 p.m.
