SPECIAL WORK SESSION MINUTES

The Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education met in special session on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in the Minnewaska Area High School Media Center. The meeting was called to order at 5:30 p.m. by Chairperson Barsness. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.

Members Present: Barsness, T. Reichmann, Lagred, A. Reichmann, Holtberg, Ogdahl

Members Absent: Zavadil

Motion by A. Reichmann, seconded by Holtberg, to approve the agenda as presented. 

Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, T. Reichmann, Holtberg, A. Reichmann, Lagred, Ogdahl

Nay: None

Motion carried.

Matt Hammer from Ehlers Public Finance Advisors presented to the board the district’s financial picture.

Rod Schumacher from Widseth Smith Nolting and presented to the board potential building projects.

Superintendent Rankin updated the board on preschool expansion and potential opportunities to partner with Glacial Hills Elementary school. 

Motion by Ogdahl, seconded by Lagred, to adjourn the meeting at 7:41 p.m. Motion Carried.
