SONIC donates to MAS teachers

In honor of May’s Teacher Appreciation Month, SONIC Drive-In’s SONIC Foundation donated $1.5 million to match all public contributions made to requests on DonorsChoose, a national nonprofit that allows individuals to donate directly to public school classroom requests submitted by teachers. The following are among l teachers who received funding:
•Mrs. Erickson at Minnewaska Area Elementary School for the project “Partner Books in Our Hands” for Grades PreK-2.
•Mrs. Germundson at Minnewaska Area Elementary School for the project “Making Marvelous Music!” for Grades 3-5.
•Ms. Deidre at Minnewaska Area Elementary School for the project “Reading is an Adventure That Never Ends” for Grades PreK-2.
•Mr. Greene at Minnewaska Middle High School for the project “Enhancing More Choices Within the Classroom” for Grades 3-5.
