Scandia congregation celebrates 50th anniversary

The Scandia congregation of the Norwegian Lutheran Church of America located near Cyrus, Pope County, has now existed for fifty years. Last Sunday it celebrated the fiftieth anniversary of its existence. An assembly of about 700 was present. The congregation was organized on May 26, 1873.

Theodore Aune has bought the controlling interest in the Villard State Bank and has been elected its president.
