After tremendous spring and summer seasons, three Minnewaska baseball players were selected to play in the 2023 Minnesota Legion Prospect All Star Series.
Levi Johnson was a member of Team Patriots in the Jr. Legion All Star Series held Aug. 4-6 in Eagan, where he competed with and against some of the best 2025 and 2026 graduates in the state.
Jack Majerus was a member of Team Stars, and Dylan Alexander was on the Team Stripes team in the Sr. Legion All Star Series held Aug. 4-6 at Northwestern College in Roseville.
The events are designed to showcase top baseball talent from around the state that take part in the American Legion Baseball Program. “You could not ask for three better young men to represent Glenwood Legion Post 187, Lowry Legion Post 253, Starbuck VFW Post 4582, and all of Minnewaska Baseball,” Minnewaska Area High School and Glenwood-Lowry Legion head coach Joe Alexander said, “All three players performed at an elite level all weekend, competing against some of the best players Minnesota has to offer. There is no doubt Levi, Jack and Dylan will have opportunities to compete at the college level, if that is the route they choose.”
