The Minnewaska Area/Morris Area Gators had two meets last week at Holdingford, Tuesday, and at home against Perham-New York Mills, Thursday at UM-Morris.

The Gators beat Perham-NYM, 103-83 to raise their overall dual meet record to 3-3, but results of the Holdingford competition were not known before presstime.

During the win over Perham-NYM, Becca Femrite, Mesa Kittelson, Melena Longtin, Lyla Stadtherr, Soffia Stadtherr, Isabel Guerra and Sage Barnstuble all had at least one victory for the Gators.

The Gators were set to close out the regular-season, Thursday, Oct. 12 at Montevideo followed by the Section True-Team Meet, Saturday, Oct. 14 at Detroit Lakes.

Gators 103, Perham-NYM 83

The Gators won nine of 12 events to win a dual meet against Perham-New York Mills, Thursday, 103-83.

Becca Femrite was in on four firsts for the Gators, including wins in the 200 freestyle (2:08.67) and 500 freestyle (6:59.66), while Mesa Kittelson had three firsts, including the 200 individual medley (2:40.76) and 100 butterfly (1:07.33).

Melena Longtin added a first in the 100 freestyle (56.57), while Lyla Stadtherr won the 100 breaststroke (1:18.13) and the Gators also won all three relays.

The team of Soffia and Lyla Stadtherr, Kittelson and Isabel Guerra won the 200 medley relay with a time of 2:06.19, while the 200 freestyle relay team of Lyla and Soffia Stadtherr, Femrite and Longtin was first in 1:48.76, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Soffia Stadtherr, Sage Barnstuble, Femrite and Longtin was also first in 4:07.51.

Sage Barnstuble added a second in the 200 freestyle (2:20.79) and third in the 100 freestyle (1:02.34), while Longtin was second (25.51) and Lyla Stadtherr third (26.15) in the 50 freestyle, Soffia Stadtherr was second in the 100 backstroke (1:11.47), and Clare Barnstuble placed third in the diving event with 218.6 points.
