Dine and Discover the world of Aging, Dementia and Caregiving
Western Prairie Parkways Sr. Services Care Connections will present “Aging, Dementia, Caregiving, Oh My!” on Thursday, March 14, from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Glenwood United Parish (10 17th Ave NW, Glenwood). This is a free program dicussing:
• What is normal along this aging journey and what is not?
• Understand the world of Dementia and how to support the people you love, by working with what they have left, instead of fighting what they have lost.
• No one teaches us how to feel our way through Caregiving. Do you have emotions you can’t name and thoughts that continue to make you feel vulnerable, angry and guilty?
To sign up for lunch, please RSVP to Western Prairie Human Services at 320-634-7755.
There will also be a grand opening and open house for the Memory Makers Group Respite Program at two separate times, 10-11 a.m. or 1-2 p.m. Learn more about Care Connection Caregiver Supports and experience what Memory Makers Group Respite Program has to offer to see if it is a good fit for you and your loved one. Gather information, ask questions, register for the programs and connect with us to answer any questions you may have.
