KMGK Radio is hosting its 13th annual Sports Banquet at 6 p.m., Wednesday, May 1 at the Lakeside Ballroom in Glenwood.  This annual event will honor three area coaches along with 24 student-athletes from six area schools.  

A male and female coach of the year, male and female athlete of the year, and a Legacy of Leadership Coaches Award is given to a person for many years of dedication as a coach and/or teacher.  

This year’s student-athlete nominees are Avery Fier, Teagan Stark, Brooklyn Meyer, Jayce Kovarik, Maeson Tank and Myles Reichmann from Minnewaska Area; Brooklyn Fischer, Anna Jaeger, Faith Radermacher, Maximus Hanson, Luke Dingmann and Ryan Jensen from BBE;  Mitchell Dewey, Will Rustan and Sydney Ulrich from West Central Area; Misti Zempel, Kaitlyn Staples and Hudson VerSteeg from Hancock; Olivia Noble, Hunter Kallstrom and Jared Cortez from KMS; and Elise Duncan, Presley Nygaard, and Blake Brehmer from Benson.
