NOTICE OF PUBLIC MEETING
This is to notify the public that the meeting of the Pope County Planning Advisory Commission (PAC) will take place on Thursday, June 27th, 2024 beginning at or about 6:00 pm or shortly thereafter in the Pope County Courthouse, 3rd Floor Board Room, to consider the following agenda items:
• Review meeting minutes from May 23rd, 2024 PAC meeting
• Review meeting minutes from June 6th, 2024 Special Meeting of the PAC
• New Business
o Conditional Use hearing on the application by Casey Ritter, if granted would allow applicant to locate a non-farm residence in an Agriculture Protection (A-2) zoning district per section 7.3.K. of the Pope County Land Use Controls Ordinance. Parcel is described as being located in: Part of the North Half (N½) of the Northeast Quarter (NE¼) of the Northeast Quarter (NE¼), Section 24, Township 124 (Chippewa Falls), Range 37, Pope County, Minnesota.
o Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held to receive comments regarding the application to locate a non-farm residence.

o Proposed Land Use Controls Ordinance Amendments:
* Section 2.2 Definitions
* Section 4.6.1-4.6.9 Shoreland District Regulations
* Section 4.6.13 & 5.6.1 Steel Buildings, Pole Structures, and Other Dwellings
* Sections 4 – 8 Zoning Districts Permitted, Conditional and Interim Uses
* Section 10.8 Guest Cottage & Guest Quarters
* Section 10.12 Renewable Energy Systems
* Section 10.24 Stormwater Management
* Section 11 Administration
o Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held to receive comments regarding the proposed Land Use Controls Ordinance amendments.
o Proposed Floodplain Management Ordinance Amendments
o Public Hearing: A public hearing will be held to receive comments regarding the proposed Floodplain Management Ordinance amendments.
Public participation by interested parties and citizens will include an opportunity to:
1) submit written concerns and comment prior to the scheduled meeting. All such communications will be shared with the Planning Advisory Commission prior to or during the meeting;
2) submit concerns and comments via Pope County’s Public Comment web map, go to https://www.popecountymn.gov, at the top of the page hover over Government, then under Board of Adjustment/Planning Advisory Commission, select Submit a Public Comment or type in the following link to access the Public Comment web map: (https://popecounty.maps.arcgis.com/apps/webappviewer/index.html?id=22a203912a864a77b4cdabe672e35e3f)
3) review the staff prepared report via Pope County website;
4) observe and/or participate by providing verbal comments in the Public Hearing portion of the Planning Advisory Commission meeting.
