New Royalty Crowned At Starbuck Heritage Days

The new court was crowned at Starbuck’s Heritage Days celebration last weekend. The Miss Minnewaska Queen coronation event had been scheduled for the Starbuck City Park, Saturday night, but due to a rainstorm that hit at the end of the parade, the coronation was moved to the Starbuck Community Center. Makenna Swalla, the 2023 Minnewaska Queen, crowned Becca Femrite as the new Miss Minnewaska Queen. In addition, Melena Longtin, McKenna Uhde and Maya Longtin were crowned Princesses by the 2023 Princesses, Makayla Hagen and Christina Rose Juarez. The new Jr. Royalty were crowned Friday night. Outgoing Jr. Miss Minnewaska royalty, Queen Kinlee Noyes and Princess Jade Bosch, passed the honor to Jr. Queen Aria Ahern and Jr. Princess McKinzlee Walker. During the coronation, Richard and Kathy Hagen were honored as Volunteers of the Year for their hard work and time helping to make Starbuck a great place to live. Before handing over the crowns to the new royalty, the 2023 royalty had a chance to thank everyone.
