It’s a been a few weeks since starting work on the project on Highway 114 from Lowry to Starbuck and crews have been busy working on culvert replacements, and have now started installing storm sewer in Lowry, it was stated by MnDOT officials.

Between Lowry and Starbuck, crews have completed four of the centerline culvert replacements, with two more to go in the upcoming weeks. A reminder that each culvert will take 1-3 days and the road will be impassable to all traffic at each culvert site. For local traffic (those who have a destination on the roadway), you may need to find an alternate route or enter from the south instead of the north, or vice versa. it was stated.

Within the city of Lowry, storm sewer replacements have started and will continue over the next few weeks. Once they get the pipes in the ground, crews will follow up with grading to prepare the roadway for curb and gutter installation.

In addition to the roadwork, crews also installed a structural snow fence, which will help address some of the blowing and drifting snow issues on Highway 114, according to MnDOT.
