Because of the weather, the music and activities had to be moved inside to the gymnasium at Central Square, but the season finale of the 2024 Music on the Lawn mini music series attracted a good crowd. The event was also a birthday bash for Cheryl Larson’s 65th birthday. Cheryl organized a wine and prize raffle and matched donations up to $1,000 in honor of her late father, Rus Larson. All the funds raised support Central Square’s free programming. The event featured Charlie Roth and two of his very talented friends, Kelley Smith and Drew Peterson. THANK YOU!
From Central Square: Thank you to all who joined us indoors Friday evening for our season finale of our 2024 Music on the Lawn mini music series. We had so much fun hosting these events, and we hope everyone who attended enjoyed the free art activities and live music with the very talented singer-songwriters, Charlie Roth, Drew Peterson and Kelley Smith. Thank you to everyone who made this event possible, including The Painted Turtle Face Painting, our local FFA Club members, our generous Board of Directors and Cheryl Larson and her family and friends.
Cheryl deserves a special shoutout, as her birthday celebration, raffle and matching donations were an immense success, and helped support our continued free arts programming!
A huge thank you to our event sponsors, Lakes Catering and Glacial Ridge Health Systems. Their generosity makes community events like this possible! We also thank the Minnesota State Arts Board for their support of this program.
Please join us at our next live music event with Mitchell Hall & The Tennessee Trio’s performance, Honoring Johnny Cash, on Saturday, September 14, at 7 p.m. in the Central Square auditorium.
