A report of crash with injuries by the Stearns County Sheriff’s Office happened near intersection of County Road 116 and Farmcrest Road, in Crow River Township.

When deputies arrived, they observed a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado with moderate damage in the west ditch of County Road 116.  The truck appeared to have rolled before landing on its wheels. Deputies were able to briefly speak with the driver, Victoria Nelson, 19, of North Branch, while she was being treated for her injuries. Nelson told deputies she was driving the truck prior to the crash when she lost control of it on the gravel road and left the roadway.

Nelson exhibited no signs of being under the influence. She was transported to the Paynesville Hospital and released a short time later after being evaluated for her injuries, according to the Sterns County Sheriff’s Office.

Deputies also spoke with both passengers, Vincent Contreras, 18, of St. Paul Park, and Zachary Schandorff, 19, of Belgrade. Neither Contreras nor Schandorff were injured from the crash. Assisting on the scene was Belgrade/Brooten Fire & Rescue and the Belgrade/Brooten Police Department.
