SPECIAL MEETING MINUTES
The Minnewaska Area Schools Board of Education met in special session on Thursday, November 14, 2024 in the Minnewaska Area School District Office Board Room. The meeting was called to order at 7:30 a.m. by Chairperson Barsness. The Pledge of Allegiance was recited.
Members Present: Barsness, T. Reichmann, A. Reichmann, Ogdahl, Zavadil
Members Absent: Lagred, Holtberg
Motion by T. Reichmann, seconded by Ogdahl, to approve the agenda as presented.
Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, T. Reichmann, A. Reichmann, Ogdahl, Zavadil
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Ogdahl, seconded by T. Reichmann, to approve the Abstract of Votes Cast for ISD 2149, State of Minnesota at the State General Election held Tuesday, November 5, 2024 as compiled from the Official Returns.
Roll Call Vote: Aye: Barsness, T. Reichmann, A. Reichmann, Ogdahl, Zavadil
Nay: None
Motion carried.
Motion by Ogdahl, seconded by T. Reichmann to approve the Resolution Canvassing Returns of Votes for School District General Election declaring Candidates Angie Reichmann receiving 3,417 votes, Justin Zavadil receiving 3,400 votes, Chad Barsness receiving 3,195 votes, and Gordon Moeller receiving 2,897 votes, having received the highest number of votes, elected to four-year terms beginning the first Monday in January 2025.

Motion by T. Reichmann, seconded by Barsness, to the resolution authorizing Issuance of Certificates of Election and Directing the School District Clerk to Perform other Election-Related duties.

Motion by Zavadil, seconded by A. Reichmann to adjourn the special meeting at 7:56 a.m.
