Minnewaska Area High School hosted three separate Christmas concerts, Thursday night in the high school auditorium.  The 4th graders performed at 5:30 p.m. under the direction of Sue Morton and Jen Germundson, while Jeff Iverson  (pictured below saying some words to the crowd) directed the 5th grade concert at 6:30 p.m. as well as the 6th grade concert at 7:30 p.m.  Overall, it was a great night of festive music provided by almost 300 musical voices of local 4th-6th graders.

The 4th grade concert (students pictured directly below), entitled “Christmas Traditions” included seven musical selections, including a Christmas Carol-Along with members of the audience.  And, Grinch (pictured below) also showed up for the song, “You’re a Mean One, Mr Grinch.”  The 4th graders were decked out in Christmas colors and Christmas hats.

The 5th grade Christmas Concert featured six holiday selections and the 6th graders also sang six songs.  Both concerts also featured area youth as soloists (including picture at right) and playing on the xylophone (below).  Santa even made a quick cameo during the 5th grade concert and he showed up on stage again with a skateboard during the 6th grade’s performance of “Skateboarding Santa.”  Have a great Christmas season!
