Laura M. Bodger, 94, of Anna Maria, Fla., and Glenwood, went to be with our Lord on Dec. 24, 2024.
Born on her family’s farm in Glenwood on May 3, 1930, Laura was the last to survive her family of 10 siblings.
Laura was preceded in death by parents, Oscar and Amanda Dyrstad; her loving husband, James Bodger; and son-in-law, Bill Eidem.
Laura has a beautiful soul and always took care of others first. She used her gift of humor to make sure everyone was always happy, especially with a good meal from her caring hands. Laura had a very blessed talent with her China painting, most everyone who knew her has a special hand painted treasure. Each year she painted many Christmas ornaments for her family and friends. Our Christmas trees will forever be adorned by her love. Laura loved her sports, especially football. She knew every player and their stats and was a frequent winner on many football contests.
Laura is survived by her children, Linda Eidem, John Bodger (Cathy Neily), Ann Bodger and Mary Bodger (Mike Novacek); grandchildren, Jeff (Suzanne) Eidem, Jay (Jessica) Eidem, Jana (Dean) Cornelius, Ross Bodger, Andrew Bodger, Krista Russell (Liam), Zachary Russell and James DeLeary; great-grandchildren, Fisher, Heidi, Henry, Will, Wyatt and Piper; step great-grandchildren, Maggie, Gussie, Ollie, Loren and Lillian; as well as many cherished nieces, nephews and dear friends.
Laura also loved the family dogs, especially at her farm; Dozzer, Cimmy, Diggs, Bug, Callie, Kody, Wally, Swagger, Moose, Ruby, Bear and Butters will all miss her treats.
A celebration of her beautiful life will be held on Saturday, April 26, at St Luke’s Lutheran Church, 1701 W Old Shakopee Road, Bloomington; service at 11 a.m. and visitation at 10 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred. She loved us all.
