Jan. 6, 2020 facts are ‘still up in the air’

From Steve Nestor,

Time to consider a few truthful and historically correct facts that have been “incorrectly” stated by national “news talking heads,” politicians, some newspaper columnists and the general public that repeats these false reports.

We just recently reviewed, what has been widely called an “Insurrection”, the January 6th “attack” as some have called it, the event at the U.S. Capitol in Washington D.C.

What it exactly was or what it should be called is still up in the air. The facts are yet to be truly recorded. So far the actual events of that day and the truth behind what actually happened, why it occurred and who was behind the unlawful activities that really happened are yet to be revealed. The fact that over 100 are being held , some in solitary confinement, many without even being charged and others without having gone to trial is more than alarming. One man has been held without cancer treatments and is yet to have been charged with anything!

One is not surprised that the national media has so one-sidedly covered this entire issue and be so politically motivated as to either misrepresent the known facts or make no effort to maintain a fair representation of the proven story. But when a local newspaper columnist (Stoneage Ramblings 8-16-2021) writes a weekly column and and repeats his one-sided research, it has to be addressed.

As I said, it has been two years and I have been waiting for a correction on his column in regards to what he called this event as an “attack.”  “Time to put politics” aside, he titled his column. In the column he said “it is ridiculous that a Bi-partisan commission had not been founded to investigate the entire event.  Oh so true…but has that happened? No.  In fact the exact opposite. Who was at fault that the communications, police and military security forces were so poorly coordinated? He asked that question, but as of yet, two years later never addressed the facts now known.

But worse than that, he cited in his column, the “The deaths of five people, two of them police officers, have been attributed to the event. More were injured.”

As for the  deaths, where he got this information is not known. But one can only surmise that either from poor and/or no research and verification, or even worse depending on the national media for what is far from the truth. The fact is one person’s death was attributed to that day, Ashley Babbitt, a U.S. Army vet who with her husband was one of the many peaceful demonstrators that entered the Capitol. She was shot in cold blood by a Federal Security officer. A federal employee who shot her, an unarmed woman,  shot her in the chest through a glass door window. A man whose identity was hidden for weeks from the public and never charged with anything. No police died from anything related to this event, one passed away a few days later from natural causes. But this was not reported until weeks later after the national and one sided media had told everyone that the officer had been bludgeoned over the head by a “rioter” with a fire extinguisher ! Never happened.

As for who instigated the capitol being breached and the resulting destruction, which has been over blown since…who were the men who stood outside and prompted the demonstrators to enter, who broke the windows, who challenged the police outside?  None of this has been confirmed and the Bipartisan commission he had asked for in his column has certainly never occurred. I think that the charade that was broadcast for months was a total misrepresentation of the actual facts. To call it anything but totally partisan is being kind.

But I must ask, how can anyone ever believe and or read a columnist who so inaccurately portrayed an event? or one who asked for various remedies, investigations and or questions and never follows up and or apologizes for misinforming his readers ?

But then again… other of his columns covered and questioned why the Catalonians could not get along better with the Spanish or how the U.S. Government had botched the negotiations with the North Koreans… and yet when it comes to our own community and its general well being, administration and overall status, nothing is ever said.

But as long as he relies on shallow, or partisan research, I can understand why few would accept anything written to be of substance and or the honest truth.

Oh, as for why the demonstrators were there and whether or not they wanted to be sure their votes were counted, that would take more than the editions this paper produces each week. Those discussions and facts have never openly been provided nor presented.

“And the PEACE of God, which passeth all understanding, shell keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” Philippians 4:7

If there be a sense of uncertainty of the times we are experiencing, it would do well to look to the Old Testament prophets of Isaiah, Jerimiah, Ezekiel, and Zechariah for direction and guidance in things to come.  Peace and security are foremost in our focus and thoughts.

• Isaiah 9:6 “For unto us a child is born (Jesus), unto us a Son (Christ) is given.”

• “For in Him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily.” Col 2:9

• The virgin birth, sinless life, crucifixion, and resurrection are testimony to His being and truth as defined in scripture 1 Cor 15: 1-4

• To believe equal faith, equals trust, equals hope,

“And hope maketh not ashamed because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Spirit which is given unto us” Roman 5:5

• “Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all ways acknowledge Him and He shall direct your path.” Proverbs 3: 5-6

• Trust is based on Truth and “Truth is absolute as God defines it”

• “Thou wilt keep him in perfect peace whose mind is. Stayed on thee because he trusteth in thee.” Isa 26:3

• “On Christ the solid rock I stand all other else is sinking sand” Edward Mote

• “Let the word of God dwell in you richly in all wisdom” Col 3:16

• Peace is not of this world it is the person of Jesus Christ. “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid.”

• “For God hath not given us the spirit of fear, but of power, and of live and a sound mind.” Timothy 1:7

• “These things I have spoken unto you, that in me you might have peace. For in the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

• The Prince of Peace states “That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus and Shalt believe in thine heart that God raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation.” Romans 10:9-10

• Assurance of security and God’s peace; He states,

“To whom God would make known what is the riches of the glory of this mystery among the unbelievers which is Christ in you, the hope of glory” Col 1:27

• The word of our risen Savior from John 15:13

“Greater Love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends.”

• Being identified how in Heb 1:3 “Who, Jesus being the brightness of God’s glory and the express image of His person, and upholding all things by the Word of His power, when He had, by Himself, purged our sins, sat down at the right hand of the Majesty on High.

• The baby Jesus is now the Lord Jesus Christ the only begotten Son of God. The righteous and Just Saviour. Providentally reigning over His creation. Habakkuk 2:4 “And the just shall live by faith”

• Having been told and having experienced. “God’s grace is sufficient and his love will sustain you!”

“For by grace are you saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.” Eph 2: 8-9

• May the God of all grace bless and keep you and give you peace this Christmas season and the coming New Year. John 3:16-17

• “Behold, I stand at the door and knock. If any men hear my voice, and “open the door, I will come unto him and sup with him, and he with Me.” Revelation 3:20
