Unhappy with governor’s joy…

From Inga Mae B. Urke,

Starbuck

I have been extremely unhappy with seeing the joy and hearing expressions of glee by Governor Walz recently concerning the outcome of the vote on abortion!   Are we not supposed to be a Christian nation?  How can the people on the left express such joy at such a gruesome outcome when it means a continued slaughter of defenseless babies?  Another writer recently listed numerous Bible verses to support his opinions and I also want to list a few:  The one every person in the entire USA ought to know:  Exodus 20:13:  “Thou shalt not kill”.  That is also found in Deuteronomy 5:17 and Romans 13:9. That includes babies!

We know that it is a human being the moment of conception:  Isaiah 44:2:  Thus saith the Lord that made thee and formed thee from the womb.  Isaiah 49:5 is similar.

Now these apply to a little later in life but are also very important to heed in our treatment of babies:  Matthew 18:10:  “Take heed that ye despise not one of these little ones for I say unto you that in heaven the angels do always behold the face of my father which is in heaven”.  Matthew 18:14:  “Even so it is not the will of your father which is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish”.   Mark 9:42:  “And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and he were cast into the sea”.  Similar in Luke 17:2:  “It were better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck and he cast into the sea than that he should offend one of these little ones”.    I have to ask how much worse is killing than merely offending these little ones?

I was delighted when I heard that Roe vs. Wade was over-turned but my joy did not last when they can now kill babies up to a minute before birth!    Doesn’t anyone on the Left care about the pain inflicted on those precious little ones.  It doesn’t get much more ridiculous than to hear the excuse that we must abort babies because there won’t be enough food to feed the large population in the near future!  HOW can anyone then justify continuing to allow millions of illegal aliens to come into our country that we must feed, clothe, provide medical care for, give drivers licenses to and give cell phones to?  It makes absolutely NO sense to me.  We can only pray that our leadership will get some common sense and stop these ridiculous actions.

Voice your opinion on abortion bill…

From Laurie Musselman,

Lowry

On January 31, Gov. Tim Walz signed a bill that enshrines abortion up to birth as Minnesota law.  This bill denies protection for unborn babies who are developed enough to feel excruciating pain.  In addition, it denies parents the right to know when their minor daughter is taken to undergo an abortion.  This is an extreme bill that does not reflect what most Minnesotans want.

These same lawmakers are pushing five other pro-abortion bills:

•To remove protections for newborns who survive an abortion

•To gut the program which directs funds to alternatives other than abortion.

•To increase medical assistance reimbursement rates for abortion an abortion-related services.

•To block extradition for those who have committed abortion-related crimes in their own states.

•To direct students to Planned Parenthood and other similar services for advice/counsel and away from pro-life pregnancy centers.

It is believed that the number one reason for a woman seeking an abortion is lack of hope.  Lack of hope includes fear of insufficient funds to care for her child, fear of losing schooling and career options, fear of shame, fear of the unknown and fear of labor/delivery.  So, let’s reach out with a message of hope.

How can I urge you to voice your opinion?  The voting record is public, so check it out here: http://www.leg.mn.gov/.  Call someone who voted for HF.1/S.F.1 and let them know your viewpoint.
