A great time at Central Square…
From Jane Peterson, Minneapolis
I was visiting from the Minneapolis area this past weekend and had the good fortune to attend the concert event at Central Square on May 14th. Maud Hixson and her trio of jazz musicians gave all who attended a wonderful musical journey through the Doris Day songbook. The acoustics in the auditorium were great and it’s a grand space. I also enjoyed walking through the gallery show featuring the art from Faythe Mills and Cheryl Larson before the performance.
It is wonderful to see the support your community has for the visual and performing arts. You are lucky to have the Central Square Center!
Thanks for support at MGG
From Terry Duhn, Long Beach
THANK YOU to those who showed up to clean up Morning Glory Garden It was great to see the Girl Scouts come and help give back to the community.
A portion of my letter was missing last week and I just want to say a big Thank You to Mike Larson of Brut Worm Farms in Brooten for the donation of the yard and a half of dirt. Again if you would like to be better informed of the efforts at MGG please text me your email address at 320-292-1668.
Thanks again everyone.
The 210th two-step…
From Carolyn Stevernson, Glenwood
There’s a gravel road just outside of town.
Cross the tracks, there’s not too much around.
Where political signage has caused recent whine-age,
While the Fremad makes Glenwood look proud.
