Announces effort to be on the ballot

From Teresa Muckala,

New York Mills

Every two years, we vote for our representative to the federal government. In the Congressional Seventh District, our choices are limited.  The Republican party was split by two factions, and the Hard Right won. Our Representative is now Hard Right.

The federal government is complicated and busy. No time to be wasted. It was designed for 435 representatives to debate, negotiate, and ultimately reach a consensus on the federal budget and move on to the next issue. The Hard Right stopped the government in its tracks. That is bad governing.

How about an independent candidate to represent the moderate middle on the ballot? Imagine, no party strings. Imagine a ballot with more choices. An independent candidate needs 1,000 signatures during two weeks in May to get on the general election ballot.

I would like to earn that spot.

I agree with Minnesota women’s right to autonomy over their own bodies.  The Hard Right has a federal law ready to overrule the state law.  I welcome in-depth discussion on that difficult topic and others.

Good fiscal governing means being aware and vigilant about waste, fraud, abuse and special interests. It is the most important job in Congress. That means negotiating to a moderate middle.

The southern border is a mess. A bipartisan group, including a senator from a border state, negotiated a plan to address it this year. The Hard Right stopped it. It will be an issue again next year, as well as so many more.

We have more than 700,000 people in the Seventh District. Yet less than half of us vote. For the next two months, I will be in towns across the seventh district, to meet you and learn about what’s important to you. If you want more choice on the ballot, then help me get a spot on the November ballot.

American support for Israel is crucial

From  Inga Mae B. Urke,

Starbuck

I am deeply concerned along with many others about what is happening to our great country under the current leadership!  I have to wonder if Democrats as well as Republicans are even aware of the horrible things going on in our supposedly Christian nation.  Interest in this seems minimal.

We keep hearing of all the anti-antisemitism raging and hear that many young folks do not believe that the Holocaust even happened!  I have visited the Holocaust Museum myself and KNOW the Holocaust was 100% real!!

Are professing Christians okay with these kinds of crazy things going on?

I found it totally disgusting that our Vice President recently used our tax dollars to travel to the Twin Cities and she visited the Planned Parenthood clinic!  I know of NOTHING at all that woman has accomplished in her role as VP but she made THAT a  priority -sick!

At last report, we heard of 100 illegal aliens storming the border fence; the attempt to get rid of our new Speaker Johnson; and another Republican leaving his duties which will leave Republicans with one vote in number over Democrats.  These horrible three things simply require action of some kind!  We must NOT sit and do nothing!

Even more crucial for our nation is our support of Israel!   President Biden MUST give full support to Benjamin Netanyahu but that has not been happening.  Are we all going to remain silent and make no attempt to change the ridiculous atrocities going on.  We shouldn’t block Israel from total victory against evil Hamas, the terror army that  invaded the Jewish state in October of 2023 and committed heinous atrocities against innocent Israeli civilians.

WE must demand that we stand with  Israel and support the Jewish state’s war to defeat Hamas and achieve total victory in Gaza!  Please call your elected officials and demand this action or at least think about the future of our great country totally “going to the dogs” under this administration.

Think about your kids and grandkids now.
